Dead Signal Nightmare Mode Release Date

by James

Dead Signal has been making its rounds after a successful release. We reviewed it and loved our time with it, dodging killers and locking down our apartment.

Since the release of Dead Signal, Nightmare mode has been listed on the main menu, “coming soon!” being the only info listed under the difficulty.

In a recent Twitter post, Dead Signal developer Reflect Studios gave an update on the release date of the upcoming nightmare mode.

Nightmare mode will be released in the next patch. Reflect Studios hasn’t given us an exact release date yet, but they have been quick to put out patches in the past, so we can assume it will be released shortly.

Some great new info about nightmare mode that came with this tweet is the addition of two new mechanics, as well as a new threat. The potential mechanics are vague, but there could be various other resources to manage or ways to look after your apartment. Of all things that could use tweaking, the camera monitoring loop would benefit from some fleshing out.

The new threat coming with the release of Nightmare mode is the big thing here. Just like Mr. Delfalco doesn’t appear in easy mode, it seems smart to include a new killer exclusively in nightmare mode. Seeing as there are many other unused characters from the Welcome To The Game Series, I wouldn’t be surprised if they added one to Dead Signal in Nightmare mode. Perhaps the Dollmaker? Or Tanner from Scrutinzed?

Either way, we’ll be sure to play Nightmare Mode when it is released.

If you’re still working through your shift in Dead Signal and struggling to avoid the current threats in the game, we have guides for Lucas, and Mr. Delfalco, and Noir.

Now it sounds like we’ll need to make another guide on whatever threat is being added in Nightmare mode…
