We’ve long been awaiting the next update for Phasmophobia. And it seems that one of the team members might have let the update date slip. 

Lead Artist for Phasmopbia took to Twitter under their handle @cjdxn to clarify a couple of things about the nearing Phasmobia update

Look’s like the update is coming out on 9/27/22!

We’ve known for a while that the new update would bring a revision to the Asylum map, but this tweet serves as a final reminder as well as confirmation of the launch date of the update, which up to this point has been unknown. 

This also serves as a farewell to the garage lobby, as that’s also getting some sort of fancy overhaul. It’s a little bittersweet to see something be changed forever, but it’s ultimately to deliver to the honest vision of the game without using pre-purchased assets. 

The asylum map has been one of the most problematic for some time, being far too big, hard to navigate, and overall just boring to play on. The only thing it really had going for it was the size allowed for some exciting chases when the ghost began hunting, and some actual avenues for escape, which other maps don’t offer. 

Get in there and try to enjoy the asylum one last time before the update drops on Tuesday, 9/27/22
